I THINK THAT THERE WILL BE NO QUESTION AS TO WHY, UM, SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS GOING TO BE PART OF OUR, OUR NEW PERSONALITY GOING FORWARD. WELL, I WAS KIND OF SURE. YEAH. ANYWAY, THIS SIZE KATIE MENTIONED, THIS IS AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF COLTRANE AND SECOND STREET, WHICH IS ALSO 360, SAY WOULD HAVE TO BE, UM, I'M SORRY IF IT'S BEING RECORDED. THIS IS, UH, AGAIN, IT'S 62 ACRE PARK AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF COLTRANE AND SECOND STREET I'M HITTING OFF WITH ONE OF THE PREMIER PIECES OF ART RIGHT THERE ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER WILL BE THE VALLEY OF THE HORSE SCULPTURE ARRANGEMENT BY ARTIST PAUL MOORE. AND HE'S VERY FAMOUS FOR A LOT OF HIS WESTERN HERITAGE TYPE, UH, ART AND SCULPTURES. AND THAT WILL BE A GREAT SPOT RIGHT THERE. THE MAIN PARK ENTRY IS ABOUT SIX TO 700 FOOT NORTH OF SECOND STREET, AND IT'S KIND OF A DIVIDED ENTRY, WHICH ALLOWS FOR CARS TO ENTER AND QUEUE, AND THEN AN EXIT LANE TO EXIT BACK OUT ONTO COLD TRAIN. WE HAVE A MAIN GATE. AND WHEN YOU APPROACH UP INTO THE PARK, ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS YOU WILL SEE IS THE BIRD'S NEST OBSERVATION TOWER, WHICH IS A WONDERFUL PIECE OF ARCHITECTURE THAT RAND HAS CREATED. UM, SOUTH OF THAT, THERE'S A DROP-OFF AREA AND A PLACE FOR FOOD TRUCKS. AND THEN WE HAVE THE, UH, UH, THE ITEM THAT'S, UH, UH, THE CROSS TIMBERS CAMP, WHICH IS KIND OF, UH, UH, PAVILION RESTROOM CAFE AREA TO SUPPORT THE EVENT LAWN THAT WE HAVE RIGHT HERE. WE'VE ALSO GOT A STAGE AREA AT THIS LOCATION, AND THEN WE HAVE SERVICE ACCESS FOR, YOU KNOW, EVENT VEHICLES, TRUCKS, THINGS LIKE THAT WITH OVERFLOW PARKING, A LOT OF BERMING ALONG THE EDGES, HEAVY TREE PLANTINGS THROUGHOUT THE PARK. AND AS WE COME ALONG THE MAIN ROAD, WE COME ABOUT TO, UH, ROUNDABOUT, UH, ANOTHER PERFECT PLACE FOR A VERY ICONIC PIECE OF ART. THEN YOU HEAD NORTH TO THE VISITOR CENTER AND THE SUPPORT PARKING FOR THAT COMING DOWN INTO THE SOUTH AREA, THAT KIND OF THE YELLOWISH AREA, THAT'S WHERE WE HAVE A SPRAY GROUND SPLASH, SPLASH PAD TYPE UP CHILDREN'S ACTIVITY AREA. AND THEN WE HAVE A SERIES OF PLAYGROUND AREAS HERE TO ACCOMMODATE ALL AGES FROM TWO TO FIVE TO FIVE TO 12. SO A WONDERFUL, UM, AREA THERE FOR CHILDREN. AND AS WE CONTINUE ON, UH, WESTWARD, WE WILL HAVE A DOG PARK. AND THEN, UH, THE BROWN AREA, THERE IS KIND OF A FITNESS CAMP, UH, ADVENTURE ZONE. AND THEN NEXT TO THAT, WE WILL HAVE THE PICNIC GROVE AND A COMMUNITY GARDEN. UM, NORTH, AS YOU ENTER THE TURN-AROUND LOOP FOR THE PARK, WE HAVE, UH, IT'S KIND OF THE WEST END, WHAT USED TO BE THE HORSE BARN. AND IT WILL NOW BE CALLED THE HORSESHOE PAVILION, WONDERFUL OUTDOOR SPACE WHERE YOU CAN HAVE, UM, GRILLING FIRE PITS, UH, SOME ACTIVITY COURTS, UH, PICKLE BALL, UH, VOLLEYBALL, UM, LAWN GAMES, LIKE A BOTCHY BALL AND COURT HOME, YOU KNOW, FUN LAWN TYPE GAMES. AND THEN AT THE WEST END, WE HAVE, UH, ANOTHER SMALL PAVILION THAT SERVICES THE LAWN AREA THERE IN FRONT OF THE HORSESHOE PAVILION, KIND OF GOING A LITTLE BIT DRY. THERE'S A CRATE THAT KIND OF DIVIDES THE SITE RUNS KIND OF EAST AND WEST AND ON THE SOUTH OR SOUTHERN SECTION OF THE SITE, A LOT OF THIS IS IN A KIND OF FLOOD PLAIN AREA, AND WE WILL BE DEVELOPING OR IMPLEMENTING A COUPLE OF RETENTION, PONDS, AND WONDERFUL CIRCULATION SYSTEM THAT KIND OF WANDERS AND MEANDERS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PARK, ALLOWING YOU TO EXPERIENCE A WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENT AREAS, YOU KNOW, FROM A WIDER PATHWAY SYSTEM TO EVEN MORE CASUAL, INFORMAL TRAIL HIKING, JUST THROUGH THE WOODS, UH, AT THE NORTHERN EDGE OF THE, UH, THE PARK, UM, ALONG THE SOUTHERN BORDER IS A PAT SITE FOR RESTAURANTS. THESE WILL HAVE, UH, OVERLOOKED [00:10:01] X THAT WILL ALLOW THEIR RESTAURANT PATRONS TO OVERLOOK THE PARK AND FEEL LIKE THEY'RE A PART OF IT. THEY WILL ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO THE PARK. AND LET ME SEE IF I LEFT ANYTHING OUT. I THINK THOSE ARE PRETTY MUCH THE HIGHLIGHTS. WE DO HAVE A FEW OPEN MEADOW SITES, UH, AROUND THE OBSERVATION TOWER, UH, AROUND THE COMMUNITY GARDEN AND THEN KIND OF A RIPARIAN MEADOW AT THE SOUTHEAST LOCATION. IT COMES FROM THE JOHNSON ARABIAN HORSE FARM OR RANCH, UH, WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY CALLED THE VALLEY OF THE HORSE, AND CERTAINLY HOUSED DESIRE TO CREATE A WORLD-CLASS SCULPTURE PARK FOR THE CITY OF EDMOND. THE BIRD'S NEST, WHICH SCOTT SPOKE TO IS THE HIGHEST POINT ON THE SITE. THE OBSERVATION PLATFORM IS AT 37 FEET, AND YOU'LL FEEL LIKE YOU'RE IN A BIRD'S NEST AS YOU LOOK ACROSS THE LANDSCAPE. UM, THIS IS THE INTENTION OF IT BEING SEEN AT NIGHT AND BEING VISIBLE FROM SECOND STREET AND AROUND IF YOU WILL. THE SECOND PIECE WE'D LIKE TO TALK ABOUT IS WHAT'S CALLED THE GLASS HOUSE ON THE GLASS HOUSE IS IN THE POSITION ACTUALLY OF WHERE THE ORIGINAL JOHNSON HOUSE WAS. AND IT IS THE VISITOR CENTER IN THE PARK. THIS IS THE MAIN ENTRANCE AS YOU COME OUT AS, AS IF YOU'VE JUST GOTTEN MARRIED MAYBE FOR THE FIRST TIME, MAYBE FOR THE SITE. ANYWAY, UH, YOU CAN DO THAT HERE, UM, AT THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION, WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY INSIDE. IT'S REALLY A GLASS ROOM. YOU'RE LOOKING OUT TO THE EAST TOWARDS THE LANDSCAPE PORTION, UH, BE A LOVELY SPACE TO BE IN, UM, ON THE WEST END. YOU CAN CONTROL THE SUN, YOU CAN CONTROL THE WIND AS SOME OF THOSE THINGS. KATIE, CAN YOU GO TO THE NEXT ONE AT NIGHT? THERE'LL BE WONDERFUL ROMANTIC SPACE. UM, WE ROUTINELY AND REGULARLY INSPECT THOSE TO MAKE SURE THAT GREASE ISN'T PASSING FROM THEIR ESTABLISHMENT INTO OUR SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND INTO OUR WATER TREATMENT PLANT. SO OUR INSPECTOR WILL GO OUT PROBE THAT DELICIOUSNESS RIGHT THERE AND, UM, SEE HOW IT'S WORKING. THIS ONE, OBVIOUSLY NOT WORKING WELL. AND EVERY BIT OF GREASE SAY GENERATES, PROBABLY PASSING RIGHT PAST AND ENTERING OUR SEWER SYSTEM. SO WE WOULD WORK WITH THEM TO MAKE SURE THAT IT'S CLEANED OUT GRAFFITI. WE FIND THAT IF IT EXISTS MORE TRENT, THAT TENDS TO ATTRACT MORE. SO WE TRY TO WORK WITH SEVERAL OR MANY OF OUR OTHER APARTMENTS TO MAKE SURE THIS IS, UH, ATTENDED TO AND REMOVED AS PROMPTLY AS POSSIBLE UNSECURED STRUCTURES. UM, WE WILL HAVE THESE BOARDED UP IF THEY EXIST. OF COURSE, AFTER THE APPROPRIATE NOTICES, GIVEN I'M SURPRISED HOW MANY STAGNANT AND UNSECURED POOLS WE ENCOUNTER. WE GET THOSE RESOLVED ALMOST EVERY TIME AS WE'LL SEE IN A MINUTE, A VAST MAJORITY OF OUR SITUATIONS ARE RESOLVED THROUGH VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE. THE INSPECTOR HAS A DECISION TO MAKE, THEY CAN DECIDE TO EITHER EXTEND THE CASE ADDITIONAL TIME, ISSUE A TICKET, OR SCHEDULE AN ABATEMENT AS THEY'RE DECIDING WHAT COURSE OF ACTION TO TAKE THEY'LL CONSIDER IF THEY'VE HEARD FROM THE PROPERTY OWNER AND THE TOOL THAT, UM, MIGHT GET THIS RESOLVED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE, BUT LET'S THINK THROUGH THOSE OPTIONS. SO WE CHANGED THAT NOTICE TO 10 DAYS TO COINCIDE WITH STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AS HIGHLIGHTED IN SOME PREVIOUS EXAMPLES, WE'VE, UH, BEEN WORKING ON THE VACANT STRUCTURES AND DILAPIDATED STRUCTURES TO ADDRESS THOSE WITH THE PROPERTY OWNERS WE INVESTED IN OUTREACH AND EDUCATION, UM, BY GOING TO PUBLIC COMMUNITY EVENTS AND CONNECTING, UH, RESIDENTS TO POTENTIAL RESOURCES. THE CHALLENGE WE FOUND WAS, IS PEOPLE FOUND THAT GET A SUIT AS CLEANUPS. AND SO AS MUCH AS YOU WENT TO GO CLEAN IT UP, IT WAS LIKE, HEY, FREE TRASH SERVICE. AND WE JUST KIND OF COMPOUNDED ISSUE. AND SO I THINK MY LAST CITY, WE WENT 75 DAYS BEFORE WE WERE OUT OF DOLLARS. SO THE QUESTION WAS, WHAT DO WE DO?
