THE, THE URBAN DISTRICT BOARD, UH, THE BOUNDARY HASN'T BEEN CHANGED SINCE IT WAS FORMED IN 2000.

AND NEW DEVELOPMENTS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE RAILROAD TRACKS AND THE CREATION OF THINGS LIKE THE TIF DISTRICT, UH, CAUSED THE URBAN BOARD TO CONSIDER EXPANDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE URBAN DISTRICT.

AND THEY LOOKED AT SEVERAL DIFFERENT OFTEN OPTIONS AND THEY RECOMMENDED, INCLUDING THIS AREA SHOWN IN BLUE RIGHT THERE.

SO ON THE WEST IT IS BOUND BY FRETZ.

THAT'S HEARD ON THE SOUTH, THE RAILROAD TRACKS ON THE EAST.

AND THEN THE NORTH, UH, IS THE NORTHERN BOUNDARY OF THE DOWNTOWN DETENTION AREA.

THAT'S THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE IT.

UM, THE CHANGES ALIGN THE URBAN DISTRICT WITH THE TIF DISTRICT.

UH, THE CENTRAL EDMOND URBAN DISTRICT IS AN OVERLAY AND EXPANDING IT DOES NOT CHANGE THE UNDERLYING ZONING.

SO IF YOU'RE SINGLE FAMILY ZONING IN THERE TODAY, THAT WILL REMAIN UNTIL YOU REQUEST A CHANGE.

IT, UH, THERE IT SIMPLY CHANGES THE GUIDELINES AND WHO REVIEWS THE SITE PLANS.

ULTIMATELY, UH, URBAN BOARD RECOMMEND THIS, RECOMMENDED THIS CHANGE AT THEIR JULY 11TH MEETING AND STAFF ALSO RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.

THERE WERE PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS INVOLVED THROUGHOUT, AND THERE WAS A JOINT WORKSHOP HELD BETWEEN THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL.

UH, AS IT GOES THROUGH APPROVAL, IF CITY MANAGER WANTS TO GO TO, WE HAVE FILE REPORT NOW.

WE DO NOT HAVE A FINAL REPORT YET.

THE DRAFT IS STILL SITTING ON MY DESK AND IT HASN'T BEEN GIVEN BACK TO THE CONSULTANTS TO MAKE THE EDITS, BUT IT'S JUST A THOUGHT THAT THIS BOARD SINCE WE'RE INVOLVED, WELL, WE'LL TAKE THAT UNDER CONSIDERATION, SEE IF NEEDS TO COME.
