FIRST ITEM ON THE AGENDA IS CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION, REGULAR MEETING MINUTES FROM JUNE 18TH, 2024.

HAS EVERYONE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW THOSE AND DO WE HAVE ANY COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, ET CETERA? I'LL MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE.

SECOND, AND THOSE MINUTES ARE APPROVED BY A VOTE OF FIVE TO ZERO.

UM, AS INDICATED, APPLICANT IS REQUESTING APPROVAL OF A ZONING MAP AMENDMENT FROM GA, GENERAL AGRICULTURAL TO A SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT ON A SITE JUST EAST OF AIR DEPOT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SORGHUM MILL.

YOU CAN SEE THAT HERE ON THE MAP, THE SITE IS APPROXIMATELY 14.9 ACRES BECAUSE WATER AND SEWER ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE SITE IS IN THE FLOODPLAIN, THE APPLICANT IS PROPOSING TO SUBDIVIDE THE SITE INTO FIVE TWO ACRE LOTS.

THE NEARBY ZONING LAND USE INCLUDES LARGE PORTIONS OF UNDEVELOPED LAND ZONE GA AND SEVERAL RURAL ESTATE SINGLE FAMILY HOMES ZONED EITHER R ONE OR GA.

YOU CAN SEE THAT HERE ON THE ZONING MAP.

THE EDMOND PLAN 2018 CATEGORIZES THIS AREA AS SUBURBAN TWO NEIGHBORHOOD.

THIS PLAN CATEGORY CAN ACCOMMODATE A DIVERSITY OF RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT PATTERNS IN THE A SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT IS APPROPRIATE.

STAFF RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.

I BELIEVE NOMINATION AND CONSIDERATION OF A COMMISSION ARE TO SERVE ON THE CENTRAL EDMOND TO URBAN DISTRICT BOARD AS THE PLANNING COMMISSION DESIGNEE.

DO WE HAVE A VICTIM THAT WOULD LIKE TO INDICATE THEY WOULD LOVE TO BE NOMINATED? WELL, LET'S SEE.

NOW IF I BELIEVE KENNETH IS, UH, KENNETH HAS SERVED ON THAT FOR QUITE SOME PERIOD OF TIME, CORRECT? YEP.
