UM, THE GRANT OR THE REQUEST THAT WE HAVE IN A HEAD, UH, IN FRONT OF YOU, SORRY, TONGUE TITLE OF IT, UM, IS FOR A PROJECT THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON.
THIS IS A PHASE TWO OF THE PROJECT IS IF YOU MIGHT BE FAMILIAR WITH OUR CREEK BEND PROJECT.
UM, WE'VE ALREADY DONE PHASE ONE, UH, WITH A GRANT AS WELL, AND AN OPPORTUNITY CAME UP FOR THIS GRANT TO HELP OFFSET THE COSTS OF IT.
WE WOULD BE GOING AFTER THE MAXIMUM OF $1.2 MILLION.
THE, IT WOULD BE OUR MATCH IS ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT WOULD BE REQUESTED, UM, THAT WE TYPICALLY DO.
UM, I ALSO HAVE ENGINEERING IS HERE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ON THE PROJECT ITSELF.
UH, THE REASON FOR THE INCREASE IN COST THAT WAS ORIGINALLY BUDGETED WAS, IS DUE, THERE'S TWO BRIDGES THAT HAVE TO BE IN THIS AREA.
ON THE PHASE ONE, THERE WASN'T ANY BRIDGES OR ANY EXCESSIVE, UH, COST OR REDESIGN.
AND WITH THIS PART THERE IS, AS YOU CAN SEE ON YOUR MAP HERE, SO THIS WOULD COMPLETE THAT, UH, TRAIL.
IT IS PART OF, UH, OUR TRAIL SYSTEM THAT IS LISTED IN EDMOND SHIFT.
UM, AND WE'RE HERE TO ANSWER ANY OTHER QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE.
SO, UH, WHY ARE THERE TWO BRIDGES? 'CAUSE ONE IT, I WILL GLADLY HAVE ENGINEERING.
BECAUSE THE WEST SIDE IS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE CREEK AND THE EAST SIDE'S ON THE SOUTH? NO, BOTH SIDES ARE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CREEK AND THERE'S NO ROOM TO STAY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CREEK BECAUSE OF THE FOX LAKE NEIGHBORHOOD GETS SO CLOSE TO THE CREEK, THERE'S, WE HAVE TO CROSS THE CREEK TO THE NORTH.
UH, SO WE CROSS IT WITH BOTH OF THE PHASE ONE PORTIONS.
SO THE MAJORITY OF THE PHASE TWO TRAIL IS ON OUR SIDE OF THE CREEK.

UM, DID WE UTILIZE ANY TAP FUNDS OR TAP GRANTS FOR, UM, THE OTHER SECTIONS THAT WE'VE DONE I SEE HAD SHAKING.
WERE WE ABLE TO RECEIVE THE, THE MAXIMUM LIKE WE'RE APPLYING FOR THIS TIME AS WELL? THE, YEAH, THIS WOULD BE THE, THE 1.2 MILLION, WHICH IS THE MAX AND, AND WE GOT THE MAX ON PHASE ONE AND PHASE ONE BROKE OFF FROM PHASE TWO BECAUSE WE HAD BEEN AWARDED THAT GRANT AND WE HAD THE TIMELINE, UH, WE HAD SOME COMPLICATIONS WITH LAND ACQUISITION FOR THIS MIDDLE PORTION, WHICH SLOWED THINGS DOWN.
SO WE BROKE OFF WHAT WAS READY TO GO OUT TO BID, WHICH IS WHY IT'S SO GOOFY OUT THERE RIGHT NOW WITH TWO LITTLE SECTIONS OF TRAIL, BUT DON'T MAKE A TON OF SENSE BY THEMSELVES.
BUT WITH PHASE TWO THEN IT ALL CONNECTS FOLLOW UP.
COUPLE OF QUESTIONS JUST ABOUT THE COST, UM, OF THE PROJECT ITSELF AND THE FUNDING.
SO $2.5 MILLION IN THE BUDGET.
SO THIS WAS ALREADY APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL, UH, AS A PROJECT THAT WOULD BE DONE THIS YEAR OR, OR HOPEFULLY BE DONE AT LEAST WITH $2.5 MILLION DIRECTED AT, IS THAT CORRECT? YEAH.
BUT I SEE THAT IT'S ACTUALLY GOING TO TAKE AN EXTRA 255,000.
IS THAT BECAUSE OF THE INCREASE THAT YOU WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT THE ADDED BRIDGE OR IS THAT FOR A DIFFERENT REASON THAT IT'S ABOVE THE, THE 2.5 THAT WAS, UM, BUDGETED BY CITY COUNCIL.
SO WHENEVER PHASE ONE STARTED, THAT'S WHEN WE HAD COST ESTIMATES FOR EACH PORTION.
A LONG TIME HAS GONE BY, UH, ESCALATION HAS AFFECTED A LOT OF THINGS.
UH, YOU SHOULD SEE THE COST ESCALATION FOR THE INTERCEPTOR PROJECT, UH, THAT THESE, UH, LAND ACQUISITION HURDLES HAVE REALLY CAUSED US SOME PROBLEMS THERE TOO.
SO A LOT OF IT IS TIME, JUST THE MORE TIME THAT'S GONE BY, THE GENERAL BID PRICES HAVE GONE UP.
UH, THE BRIDGES ARE A LITTLE BIT MORE ELABORATE THAN WE INITIALLY THOUGHT DUE TO CONDITIONS WE DISCOVERED IN THE PHASE ONE PROJECT, THE SOIL IS IN WORSE SHAPE THAN ORIGINALLY ANTICIPATED.
UH, IN PHASE ONE WE WERE DIGGING DOWN TO TRY TO GET TO SOMETHING SOLID AND WE KEPT HAVING TO GO FURTHER AND FURTHER IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS.
SO WE'RE MORE CONSERVATIVE WITH OUR COST ESTIMATE FOR THIS NEXT, UH, FOR THIS PHASE TWO, KNOWING WHAT WE KNOW NOW.
UH, AND LIKE I SAID, DUE TO TIME, THAT'S WHY YOU SEE THE COST.
SO THE ADDITIONAL $255,000 THAT'S NECESSARY, AND I KNOW YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR CITY COUNCIL, BUT DO YOU ANTICIPATE THAT WOULD HAVE TO COME FROM CIP FUNDS OR WOULD THEY OR WHERE WOULD THOSE FUNDS COME FROM? YEAH, YEAH, I THINK THAT WOULD BE CIP.
WHY NOT CROSS SPRING CREEK BEFORE YOU GET TO THAT OTHER FEEDER TRIBUTARY? SO YOU ONLY HAVE TO BUILD ONE BRIDGE, WHY NOT CROSS? SO RIGHT WHERE IT'S AT RIGHT NOW, LET'S JUST SAY WHERE, WHERE TRAIL BEND CREEK PHASE ONE ENDS ON THE WEST SIDE.
WHY NOT JUST TURN AND CROSS THE CREEK THERE OR SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE YOU GET THAT? IT'S MUCH WIDER THERE.
SO THAT WOULD BE AN EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE BRIDGE THAT WOULD PROBABLY BE DOUBLE OR TRIPLE.
SO THE SPAN OF THE BRIDGE WOULD NEED TO BE FURTHER OF THE BRIDGE AND, AND THERE'S A LOT MORE EROSION ON THE BANKS OF THE CREEK RIGHT THERE.
THERE IT'S, IF, IF YOU GO ON THE EXISTING TRAIL AND YOU LOOK OVER THERE, YOU SEE THE EXISTING SANITARY SEWER LINE THAT SPANS THE CREEK RIGHT THERE AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S JUST HANGING ON BY A THREAD.
SO THAT'S WHY IF, IF CHRIS KNIFING WERE IN HERE, HE'D TELL YOU THE URGENCY FOR THAT INTERCEPTOR PROJECT THAT'S GONNA PROCEED THIS

ONE.SO I'M ASSUMING THAT THE LAND ACQUISITION IS COMPLETED, IS THAT CORRECT? IT'S, IT'S NOT FULLY COMPLETE, BUT THERE'S BEEN SIGNIFICANT MOVEMENT ON THAT SUCH THAT WE FEEL COMFORTABLE MOVING FORWARD WITH THE DESIGN OF THIS TRAIL.
AND THAT WAS, I LEARNED THAT'S NOT BEING PAID FOR BY US.
RIGHT? YEAH, I THINK, CAN I ASK A QUESTION ABOUT THE, THE LAND ACQUISITION? UM, THE LETTER IS DUE BY THE END OF JANUARY, THE RESOLUTION OR IS DUE THE DUE DUE TO THE CITY AND IN, IN THE RESOLUTION SECTION FOUR SAYS THAT WE WILL HAVE THE LAND.
SO IF WE DON'T ACQUIRE IT BY THE 31ST OF JANUARY, IS THAT GOING TO BE A PROBLEM? NO, IT SHOULDN'T BE.
YEAH, IT'S BEFORE CONSTRUCTION.

UM, I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN BUDGETED, BUT GIVEN THE CHALLENGES THAT WE HAVE IN, UM, THE ROADS AND THE CONDITIONS THAT WE'RE DEALING WITH, WITH TRAFFIC FLOW, YOU KNOW, I'M GONNA VOTE NO ON THIS BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT'S NOT A PRIORITY AND I THINK THE BUDGET THAT'S BEEN ALLOCATED FOR THIS SHOULD BE REASSIGNED AND WE SHOULD, THIS IS A NICETY THAT WE'D LIKE TO FINISH, BUT IT'S NOT IN MY MIND AS CRITICAL AS OTHER PROJECTS THAT WE WANT TO DO.
AND I STILL THINK THAT WE SHOULD, WE SHOULD VOTE NO ON THIS FOR NOW.
WE SHOULD GET TOGETHER AND PRIORITIZE OUR STRATEGIC PLAN ON THE PROJECTS THAT WE THINK, UH, WE WANNA RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT IMPROVES THE TRAFFIC FLOW OF THE CITY BEFORE WE WORRY ABOUT FINISHING OFF TRAILS THAT DON'T AFFECT AS MANY PEOPLE AS THE TRAFFIC FLOW DOES.
UM, AND I JUST WANT TO GO ON RECORD WITH THAT.
I'M THANKFUL THAT WE GOT PAVING THE WAY PAST SO WE WILL BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH A LOT OF OUR TRAFFIC FLOW.

THE 2017 CIP CAN WE WITH THE, WITH WHAT PAST LAST MONTH OR LAST MONTH, IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE THE CA 2017 FOR THAT? IS THAT JUST ROADS OR, SO THE, YEAH, THE PAVING THE WAY TAX THAT GOT RENEWED, THAT PURPOSE FOR THOSE FUNDS, WHICH ARE ONLY ROADS BEGINS TO BE COLLECTED APRIL 1ST, 2027.
SO UNTIL THEN THE 2017 CIPS THE LIST OF PROJECTS THAT CAME WITH THAT, UH, WHICH DID INCLUDE TRAFFIC TRAILS, LOTS OF OTHER THINGS THAT BY ORDINANCE ARE TO BE FUNDED THROUGH THIS ARE STILL IN EFFECT.
SIR, UH, I'VE GOT JUST A KIND OF A CURIOSITY REALLY.
THERE'S A SAMPLE LETTER HERE, PROPOSED LETTER THAT'S FROM OUR CHAIRMAN OF THIS BOARD THAT STRUCK ME AS ODD.
I WOULD THINK THAT AS WE'RE, SINCE WE'RE RECOMMENDING BODY TO THE CITY COUNCIL, THAT THIS LETTER SHOULD COME FROM THE MAYOR TO THE OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

I JUST DON'T THINK IT STACKS UP AS A PRIORITY GIVEN ALL THE OTHER NEEDS THAT WE HAVE IN THIS COMMUNITY.

AND THEN WE'RE ALSO GETTING THE GRANT.
I THINK WE CAN DO, I THINK WE CAN DO ALL OF IT, IF I MAY.
WELL I GUESS I WOULD SUGGEST THAT $2.7 MILLION IS A LOT OF MONEY.
WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS THAT UTILIZE OUR ROADWAYS EVERY DAY.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE NUMBERS ARE, THEY AREN'T IN HERE, SO I DON'T KNOW, BUT I SUSPECT IT'S NOT NEARLY AS HIGH AS THOSE THAT USE ROADS AND STREETS.
AND, AND IN A SITUATION WHERE WE HAVE, UM, A LONG LIST OF NEEDS WITH ROADS AND STREETS, EVEN THOUGH THIS HAS BEEN STARTED, AND AGAIN, I'M NOT IN OPPOSITION TO TRAILS.
I THINK THEY SERVE A VALUABLE PURPOSE.
IN MY OPINION, IT'S NOT A PRIORITY.
AND I BELIEVE THAT THE CITIZENS OF EDMOND EXPECT US TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL VITAL INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS FIRST.

SO WITH THAT, AND BY ORDINANCE, WHICH ARE OUR CITY LAWS, HERE ARE THE PROJECTS THAT WERE TO BE FUNDED THROUGH THIS.
SO CITY ROAD IMPROVEMENTS TO ALLEVIATE TRAFFIC INGESTION, A TENNIS CENTER, UH, I WON'T GO THROUGH ALL OF 'EM, EXPANDED AND IMPROVED SPORTS FACILITIES, BUT ALSO IN HERE WAS EXPANDED AND IMPROVED TRAIL SYSTEMS. SO WHILE THERE WAS DESIGNATED CALLED OUT PROJECTS LIKE A TENNIS CENTER OR LIKE A ANIMAL SHELTER EDITION, UM, THEN THIS IS A PROJECT THAT WAS STARTED BECAUSE OF THIS TAX BEING BEING ENACTED.
SO THE ENDS HAVE BEEN DONE THROUGH A COMBINATION OF, OF THE 2017 CIP AND A GRANT.
AND SO IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE MIDDLE SECTION OF THE PROJECT, WHICH AS BRAD TALKED ABOUT, IT'S TAKEN LONGER THAN ANTICIPATED DUE TO THE SEWER PROJECT, WHICH REQUIRED LAND ACQUISITION AS THE TRAIL DID AS WELL.
UM, JUST SEEKING ADDITIONAL DOLLARS TO HELP OFFSET THE CITY COST FOR IT TO CON TO COMPLETE THE TRAIL.
IS THAT, WAS THAT HELPFUL? THAT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION? IT IT IS.
'CAUSE I SEE THIS AS MORE OF A PLAN THAT'S BEEN APPROVED JUST LIKE WE'RE GETTING READY TO ENTER TO DO A PLAN FOR THE TAX THAT WAS JUST PASSED.

SO IF I MAY ASK A QUESTION, WAS THIS VERY SPECIFIC PROJECT PROPOSED? THIS SPECIFIC PROJECT WAS NOT PROPOSED, IT WAS JUST THINGS LIKE RIGHT THING, RIGHT TRAIL, TRAIL SYSTEM V THAT WAS PROMOTED.
IT SAID CORRECT THINGS LIKE THIS, KNOWING FULL WELL THAT STAFF AND COUNSEL COULD CHANGE AND MOVE.

SO IT'S NOT A BRAND NEW PROJECT AND IT IS PROPERLY WITHIN THE SCOPE.
I THINK THAT WEIGHS IN FAVOR ALSO, THE FACT THAT $2.5 MILLION HAS ALREADY BEEN BUDGETED BY THE CITY COUNCIL INDICATING THAT THIS IS A PRIORITY, UH, MOVING FORWARD.
AND, UH, AGAIN, THAT IT IS THE COMPLETION OF THESE DIFFERENT SECTIONS AND BRINGING THEM TOGETHER TO, TO MAKE THAT COMPLETE.
UM, I THINK, AGAIN, LIKE I SAID, MY PRIMARY RESERVATION WOULD BE THE EXTRA $255,000.
YES, GRANTS DO BECOME AVAILABLE REGULARLY, HOWEVER, UM, THE CHANCES THAT THE COST OF THIS PROJECT IS GOING TO GO DOWN ARE SLIM TO NONE.
SO THE EXTRA $255,000 AT THIS POINT IS PROBABLY THE BEST THAT WE'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO BECAUSE AGAIN, UNLESS SOMEBODY ELSE, YOU KNOW, CAN, CAN CORRECT ME ON THAT, I DON'T IMAGINE THAT THIS PROJECT IS GOING TO GET ANY CHEAPER AS THE YEARS GO BY.

SO, UH, THE CITY HAS RECEIVED, UH, THE NUMBERS FROM THE OKLAHOMA TAX COMMISSION FOR WHAT WE WOULD CALL THE DECEMBER CHECK FOR SALES AND USE TAX.
SO THIS IS GENERALLY SALES THAT TOOK PLACE DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER.
SO FOR SALES TAX, UH, WHEN YOU COMPARE DECEMBER, 2025 TO DECEMBER, 2024, UH, WE ARE, THE NUMBER, TOTAL NUMBER IS DOWN 4.78%.
SO WHAT THAT MEANS FOR THROUGH SIX MONTHS OF THE FISCAL YEAR WHEN COMPARED TO THE SAME SIX MONTHS OF LAST FISCAL YEAR, IS A DECREASE OF 1.78% AND THE BUDGET WAS FLAT.
SO A LITTLE BIT BELOW THAT, UM, IF YOU'LL NOTICE ON USE TAX AND JUST A REMINDER USE TAX.
SO ALL THE USE TAX THAT COLLECTED BY THE, AND, UM, REMITTED BACK TO THE CITY OF EDMOND ONLY GOES INTO THE GENERAL FUND.
SO IT ONLY, SO IT DOESN'T IMPACT THE, THE DOLLARS THAT THIS COMMITTEE OVERSEES THE RECOMMENDATION OF, BUT, UM, YOU'LL SEE A LITTLE BIT OF AN ANOMALY WHERE IT WAS UP 40%.
UM, THIS IS STATEWIDE, UM, AND IT WAS DUE TO A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT THE TAX COMMISSION HAD BACK IN JUNE.
SO THIS WAS NUMBERS THAT IF YOU THINK FROM JUNE UNTIL NOW, UM, THIS IS INFORMATION ACCORDING TO THEM.
SO YOU'RE NOT GONNA SEE NUMBERS LIKE THIS MOVING FORWARD A 40% INCREASE.
SO I BELIEVE IT'S BEEN CORRECTED.

AND WITH THE SOFTWARE CHALLENGES THAT THEY'VE HAD, UH, IT, IT KIND OF MADE THE DATA, FOR LACK OF A BETTER WORD, WONKY.
SO, BUT JUST WITH SALES TAX, YOU'LL SEE, AND THESE ARE THE FIVE BIG BUCKETS, UM, THAT MAKE UP HOW THE CITY RECEIVES SALES TAX.
SO RETAIL, UH, WHICH IS 59% OF THE OVERALL CHECK THAT THE CITY RECEIVES ON A MONTHLY BASIS.
AND WHEN YOU THINK RETAIL THINK THINGS LIKE GROCERIES, CLOTHING, FURNITURE, UH, HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES, JUST ANY SORT OF SHOPPING THAT YOU DO IN PERSON.
SO FOR THIS QUARTER WHEN COMPARED THIS TO QUARTER TWO OF LAST YEAR, UH, IT WAS DOWN ABOUT $280,000 OR 2%.
AND THEN YOU SEE WITH ALL THE OTHER BUCKETS, HOTEL AND RESTAURANTS, WHOLESALE TRADE, UTILITIES AND MANUFACTURING, UM, ALL THOSE WERE UP.
AND SO OVERALL THESE BUCKETS MAKE UP, IF YOU ADD UP THE PERCENTAGES, 94%, I I SAID THAT EARLIER OF ALL THE DOLLARS THAT COME IN THROUGH SALES TAX.
SO JUST A LITTLE FURTHER LOOK KIND OF, OF WHAT'S BEHIND THE NUMBERS, UM, IN THIS REPORT THAT WE CREATED, THAT COMES OUT ON A QUARTERLY BASIS.
SO I, I HAVE A COMMENT 'CAUSE I, I'VE BEEN REALLY KIND OF REALLY LOOKING AT OUR SALES TAX DOWN ON THE RETAIL SIDE.
THERE WERE RETAILERS IN SPRING CREEK THAT OFFERED PROMOTIONS ON BLACK FRIDAY WHERE THEY WERE ONLY GOOD IN THE STORE BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL ORDER ONLINE BUT PICK UP AT THE STORE AND THAT DOES NOT GO TO EDMOND SALES TAX.
SO IT'S INTERESTING, YOU KNOW, I JUST WONDER IF THERE'S A WAY TO HAVE SOME KIND OF A CAMPAIGN OR COMMUNICATION TO OUR RETAILERS TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE OFFERING THEIR BEST PRICES FOR PEOPLE THAT COME IN.
BECAUSE IT WOULD HELP, YOU KNOW, RECAP A LOT OF THAT.

AND THEN HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE WHAT THE PROJECT SHOULD BE OVER THAT HORIZON IN THE 2000? SO IT'S STAFF'S PLANS TO START THOSE CONVERSATIONS WITH YOU ALL AT YOUR JANUARY MEETING.
SO I WOULD, UM, COMMENT AND REQUEST THAT PULLING IN INFORMATION AND FEEDBACK AS TO HELP US PRIORITIZE MAY BE A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH OUR CONSTITUENTS ABOUT WHY SALES TAX IS SO CRITICAL.

UM, IN LIGHT OF WHAT YOU COMMU WHAT YOU FINALIZED TODAY, I WOULD JUST MAKE SURE ON YOUR NEXT MEETING YOU GO AHEAD AND FORMALIZE AND FINALIZE YOUR BUDGET OF THE 2 55, RIGHT? BECAUSE YOU, YOU MADE THE COMMITMENT AND IF YOU GET THE GRANT, YOU'RE GONNA BE SPENDING THE 2 55 AND SO I WOULD AT LEAST MAKE SURE THE BOARD'S WITH THAT DECISION.

OKAY.COMMENTS FROM ANY BOARD MEMBERS? YEAH, UH, IT'S A GREAT POINT THAT YOU MAKE, UH, THAT, THAT OUR RESIDENT MADE REGARDING THE, THE FUNDING.
AND I'D ALSO LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT, UM, I, WELL I'M REMINDED OF THAT GREAT HOLIDAY CLASSIC CHRISTMAS VACATION, UH, WITH, AS IT RELATES TO WHAT WE VOTED ON EARLIER BECAUSE, UH, THE HERO IN THAT STORY WAS, UH, HE WANTED TO PUT IN A POOL FOR HIS FAMILY AND HE WAS COUNTING ON THE CHRISTMAS BONUS AND, UM, HE WAS SO SURE THAT HE WAS GONNA GET THE CHRISTMAS BONUS.
HE HAD ALREADY PUT IN THE DOWN PAYMENT PRETTY IRRESPONSIBLY.
UM, WHAT WE HAVE HERE AND WHAT WE APPROVED WAS JUST, UH, A LETTER IN SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION AND THEN A RECOMMENDATION FOR THE CITY COUNCIL TO ACTUALLY APPLY FOR THE GRANT.
UM, IF WE DON'T GET THE $1.2 MILLION AND INSTEAD WE GET A JELLY OF THE MONTH CLUB, THEN I'LL GO ON RECORD RIGHT NOW ADVISING THE COUNCIL NOT TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE PROJECT.
SO I, I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT WE DON'T, UM, HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO SPEND ANY MONEY IN, IN ON THIS BOARD.
WE CAN LOOK AT THE PROJECTS AND SEE IF THEY ARE WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TAX AND THEN WE CAN HELP WITH THE PRIORITIZATION.
BUT CERTAINLY THIS WAS ONLY TO APPLY FOR THAT GRANT.
AND IF, UH, THAT GRANT DOESN'T COME THROUGH, THEN I DON'T THINK WE'RE GONNA BE PUTTING IN THE SWIMMING POOL, SO TO SPEAK.
UM, I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SAY, UH, HAPPY FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS TO OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS THAT ARE CELEBRATING HANUKKAH AND WITH THIS BEING THE LAST MEETING OF THIS YEAR, MERRY CHRISTMAS, UH, TO EVERYONE AND I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HAS A VERY SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR AS WELL.

SEEING IT PASS BY SUCH A WIDE MARGIN WAS JUST WONDERFUL TO SEE AND REAFFIRM, AT LEAST IN MY VIEW, THE WAY THE CITY INTERACTS WITH OR THE CITIZENS INTERACT WITH THE CITY AND THE WAY THAT THEY TRUST US AND THE PROCESS.
UH, ONE THING THAT HAS STOOD OUT TO ME IN FOUR YEARS, UM, ON THIS BOARD IS JUST HOW CLEAR YOU DO AND ATTEMPT TO MAKE EVERYTHING, PARTICULARLY AROUND THE FINANCIALS.
UH, I LIKE THAT WE CAN HAVE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THE, IS SOMETHING, IS THIS REALLY NEEDED OR IS IT NOT? AND, AND EVEN DIFFER, BUT I'M THANKFUL THAT WE GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO THAT AND THAT OUR CITIZENS SAW AND TRUST US TO CONTINUE DOING THAT, UH, INTO THE FUTURE.
